Dadia has left the building!
On Friday 24th August we said a huge thank you and goodbye to Dadia Conti, Children's services manager at CommUNITY Barnet. After 20 years of service to children and young people in Barnet Dadia is off to Derbyshire to enjoy time with family, beautiful walks with her dogs and to relax! Geoff Salmon Chair person of CommUNITY Barnet wished Dadia a fond farewell and thanked her for all her hardwork over the years. "Barnet will not be the same" A huge turn out of family and friends and members of Barnet Council as well as representatives from all the voluntary sector organisations over the borough celebrated at the Rainbow centre in Dollis valley estate with a steel pan band, bouncy castle and delicious food provided by the Arc cafe. Dadia's speech was heartfelt "I love you all" A video of a time line over the years was presented as well as many other gifts from work friends. An amusing speech delivered by Ally Cooper her communications officer (who is also leaving) stated "Dadia has taught me so much and has been the best boss anyone could ever have! Dadia has taught me that we cannot change the past to rewrite a better beginning, but we can work for the future and strive for a better ending" We wish Dadia all the best for the future! |
